The Legacy Gala

Stay Positive News in collaboration with Well House Church, Effortless Event Planning, and Southern Welcome Interior and Holiday Decorating Services hosted The Legacy Gala, a charity event aimed to bless children in foster care with Christmas gifts this year. All proceeds raised went towards His Children Foundation, a non-profit who works directly with foster homes, and who was able to get the Christmas lists of 200 foster children.

The evening was a success with over 200 people in attendance, 40+ businesses who sponsored financially or with their time or products, and over $36,000 raised!

In addition to the fundraising, the gala recognized community leaders in different five categories. We held open nominations for the public for three weeks and received over 100 nominees. Each category was then narrowed down to the top three nominees, and the public voted on who they wanted to win. Over 700 votes were cast in the following two weeks, and the winners were announced the night of.
