The VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post 9851, located in Hendersonville, TN, donated $2,500 to a book fund for Veteran students that the Post established in 2017.

The fund is to be used for students whose VA eligibility has ended, been exhausted, or is not yet approved. With the assistance of Volunteer State Community College’s Office of Veteran’s Affairs, students can access the fund and purchase their textbooks. Once students no longer need the books, they are encouraged to leave them for future veteran students to use.

VFW Post 9851 serves honorably discharged veterans and their families by providing various services and support opportunities with Barry Insley as Post Commander.
