TriStar NorthCrest’s MammoGLAM Event Provides Breast Cancer Education for Community

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center recently held its annual MammoGLAM event. This year, around 60 women attended the event, which offered an evening of food, pampering and crucial education about breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection.

“This event reinforces the hospital’s commitment to making annual breast screenings easy and accessible to women in our community,” said Sabrina Hall, manager of diagnostic medical imaging at TriStar NorthCrest.

The gathering highlighted several important resources that TriStar Northcrest provides, including:

• No Physician Order Required: Women can schedule a screening mammogram without a referral.

• Walk-in Appointments: Available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. • Convenient Scheduling Options: Online scheduling makes booking a screening simple and quick.

• Saturday Appointments: Screenings are available on the first Saturday of each month, allowing flexibility for women with weekday commitments.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TriStar NorthCrest typically sees an increase in mammograms. “This increase underscores the importance of educating the community on early detection, which remains the most effective way to identify breast cancer in its initial stages,” said Sabrina.
