TriStar NorthCrest Hosts Free Blood Pressure Screenings to Combat "Silent Killer"

TriStar NorthCrest is taking proactive steps in the fight against high blood pressure, often referred to as the "Silent Killer," by offering free screenings to the community.

With its devastating potential for heart attacks and strokes, high blood pressure remains one of the leading causes of death in the United States, highlighting the critical importance of early detection and management.

On Friday March 22, from 10:00 am to noon, the front lobby of TriStar NorthCrest Hospital will host these vital screenings, providing individuals with the opportunity to know their numbers and take control of their heart health. Recognizing that high blood pressure typically presents no warning signs or symptoms, these screenings offer a crucial preventive measure in reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications.

The initiative not only aims to raise awareness about the significance of blood pressure monitoring but also underscores the hospital's commitment to community health and well-being. To further enhance the event, students from Western Kentucky will be on-site, eagerly volunteering to contribute to this noble cause. Their participation exemplifies the collaborative effort to make a difference in individuals' heart health and promote healthier lifestyles.

TriStar NorthCrest encourages everyone to take advantage of this invaluable opportunity to prioritize their heart health. By knowing your numbers, you can take the first step towards a healthier, happier life.
