TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center recently organized a canned food drive to benefit the United Way of Sumner County. As part of the United We Feed food drive initiative, TriStar Hendersonville colleagues came together to assemble over 350 donated cans into a pumpkin pie sculpture, a process known as "canstruction." The sculpture will be displayed in the hospital lobby throughout the month of November, offering a visual reminder of the community's commitment to fighting food insecurity.
“I’m grateful for our TriStar Hendersonville colleagues who are willing to rise to the occasion, as they always do, and help those experiencing food insecurity in Sumner County this holiday season,” said Justin Coury, CEO of TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. “United Way of Sumner County is an incredible organization. We’re thankful for United Way’s positive impact in our communities and are proud of our longstanding relationship with them.”
The United We Feed food drive aims to collect non-perishable food items to assist local families in need. TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center's participation in this initiative reflects their commitment to improving the well-being of the community they serve, in addition to providing exceptional healthcare services. By organizing the canned food drive and creating a pumpkin pie sculpture, the hospital hopes to raise awareness about the importance of addressing food insecurity. Canned donations for the United We Feed food drive will be accepted at the hospital until December 2.
