TriStar Hendersonville Supports Sumner County's Backpack Program with Generous Food Donation

TriStar Hendersonville has recently demonstrated its commitment to the local community by supporting the Backpack Program at Sumner County Family Resource Center. The initiative, aimed at tackling food insecurity among students in Sumner County, received a substantial donation of food items collected over two weeks in February and March by TriStar Hendersonville colleagues.

The endeavor was spearheaded by TriStar Hendersonville's Employee Advisory Group, which motivated each location to gather nonperishable food items.

These items are intended to be placed in the backpacks of food-insecure students throughout Sumner County, ensuring they have access to nourishing meals during the weekends. The initiative acknowledges the stark reality that many children rely on school meals as their primary source of nutrition, making weekends particularly challenging for them.

The generous donation from TriStar Hendersonville is poised to make a tangible difference in the lives of numerous students facing food insecurity in Sumner County. It reflects the organization's commitment to corporate social responsibility and its mission to support the health and welfare of the communities it operates in.
