Stay Positive News, in collaboration with Well House Church, hosted the 2nd Annual Legacy Gala on November 7, 2024, at The Barn at Spring Lake Farms in Portland, Tennessee. The event was a tremendous success, raising vital funds for several community-driven programs that directly impact Davidson County, Sumner County, and Robertson County families and children in need.
The gala, which welcomed over 200 attendees, highlighted the power of local partnerships and the generosity of the community. Proceeds from the evening will support three key programs: TN Voices Tonight, Isaiah 1:17 House of Robertson County, Hope for the Holidays (Well House Church).
"We are truly grateful for the overwhelming support shown by our community tonight," said Rachel Allison, Co-Founder of Stay Positive News. "The funds raised at this year's Legacy Gala will help provide critical resources and create lasting positive change for children and families in Robertson County. Together, we are making an incredible difference."
The funds raised at the Legacy Gala will support the following programs:
Third Annual Basketball Camp (TN Voices Tonight): In partnership with Springfield Parks & Recreation, the gala funds will help provide 50 local children with the opportunity to attend a free basketball camp. The camp, led by college athletes and RCS coaches, focuses on basketball skills, teamwork, and leadership, promoting both physical fitness and character development.
Utility and Rent Assistance (TN Voices Tonight): The proceeds will assist families in Robertson County who are struggling to pay rent and utility bills, ensuring that local children and families have a warm, safe place to live, especially during the winter months. This support helps prevent evictions and utility shut-offs, providing stability for vulnerable families.
Isaiah 1:17 House of Robertson County: Isaiah 1:17 House offers a safe, comforting environment for children waiting for foster care placement. The funds raised will support the house's ongoing operation, providing essential supplies like clothing, toys, and blankets, as well as maintaining a nurturing space where children can feel secure during a difficult time.
Hope for the Holidays (Well House Church): Well House Church’s Hope for the Holidays program has been bringing joy to local families for over a decade by providing food, gifts, and emotional support during the holiday season. Gala funds will help facilitate food distributions, holiday shopping, and the Breakfast with Santa event, ensuring that at-risk families can experience the joy and warmth of the holidays.
The event also featured the 2nd Annual Legacy Awards, a silent auction, live music, and a delicious dinner, with all proceeds benefiting these four key programs. Guests were treated to an inspiring evening of celebration, connection, and giving, with special tributes honoring the local leaders and volunteers who work tirelessly to improve the lives of others.
Stay Positive News and Well House Church extend their heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, and donors who made the 2nd Annual Legacy Gala a success. The funds raised will ensure that these vital programs continue to support those in need across Robertson County, especially during the winter and holiday season.
