On August 19, 2023, there will be a Regional Special Needs Expo held at First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, Tennessee at 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd.
This is a free event for all who wish to attend. The hours of the Expo will be from 10:00 until 4:00.
The goals of this event are to provide information on resources available in a fun atmosphere, to inspire hope for families through each phase of life by helping them see that they are not alone, and by empowering families to make the best choices for themselves and the individuals in their care.
Many booths will be set up by providers who will offer services for those with special needs. They will provide information and can answer many questions. The Expo will also have food trucks for you to enjoy during your day. There will also be some information for young children and seniors.
There lineup of seminars that will run from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm is as follows:
10:30 Early Intervention Services
11:00 A local attorney will discuss conservatorships
12:00 The presenter will discuss Supported Decision Making
1:00 The Weekly Hall Singers, a special needs choir, will perform
2:00 A very special fashion show will be presented.
3:00 A former Beech High School graduate will explain how assistive technology changed his life
