Simmons Bank Hosts Pet Adoption Event

Simmons Bank partnered with Gigi’s Rescue and Girl Scout Troop #1370 will host a Pet Adoption Event on July 14, 2023 at their White House branch at 117 Raymond Hirsch Pkwy from 12 to 5 pm.

Their goal is to raise awareness for National Pet Fire Safety Day that is recognized June 15. Gigi’s Rescue will bring foster animals to the site available for adoption. If you’d like to learn more about their adoption process, check out their website here.

Additionally, they will be accepting supply donations for Gigi’s Rescue. See the flier below for specific items they are looking for. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation should send it directly to Gigi’s Rescue through Paypal at gigisrescue1@gmail.com.

Simmons Bank loves to partner with other businesses and organizations on projects like this within the community.

According to Financial Center Manager Kate Key, “As a member of the community, it’s important that we host and participate in events that help our community connect with each other. White House has such a unique family atmosphere, and we pride ourselves in being just a small part of the magic that makes this community so special. This particular event is special to us because we love pets! We love loving on our customers’ dogs when they come by the branch, and we value the opportunity to help pair deserving animals with their furever homes. In addition, we love supporting the young people of our community, like Girl Scout Troop #1370.”

Last year Girl Scout Troop #1370 reached out to Shaina, a Senior Relationship Banker at Simmons Bank, to see if the bank would be interested in hosting a pet food drive, and they gladly did. This year, the idea became bigger and better when Shaina and the Girl Scout Troop #1370 leader Emily worked together to reach out to Gigi’s Rescue to see if they would be able to come, and the answer was YES!

The event is sure to be a fun one! Simmons Bank welcomes the entire community to attend, even if they are not looking to adopt a four-legged-friend at this time. They will have puppuccinos available to hand out to any dogs in attendance, and The Magic Dog Bus, another local business, will be there to help and show off the awesome services they offer.

“We are all looking forward to seeing the pets that Gigi’s Rescue brings to the event as well as our customers’ pets that they bring by for treats and extra scratches,” says Kate. “Hopefully we will get to see several pets find their new families!”
