TriStar Skyline Medical Center recently celebrated a remarkable story of a lineman on the road to recovery after surviving a severe electrical accident while on the job. Jeremy Crowe from the Chattanooga area was discharged after a little over a month of intensive treatment and rehabilitation. He suffered extensive burns to almost half of his body.
Upon arrival to the hospital by helicopter, Crowe was met by TriStar Skyline’s specialized burn and trauma teams who provided advanced, life-saving care. The dedicated team immediately worked to stabilize him and initiated a comprehensive plan to address his critical injuries. Over the following weeks, Crowe received around-the-clock care, including surgeries, wound care and physical therapy designed to help him regain strength and mobility.
“Taking care of Jeremy was such a privilege,” said one of his nurses in the burn ICU. “He reminded me why I started nursing many years ago. He was kind, patient and so appreciative. He fought and fought hard.”
Thanks to the dedication of TriStar Skyline’s medical staff and the patient’s resilience, Crowe made an inspiring recovery. After a month, he achieved the goal he had set for himself - walking out of the hospital under his own strength, ready to return home to his family.
“I am so thankful that we were brought to TriStar Skyline,” said Jeremy Crowe’s wife, Lacey Crowe. “I don’t think that we would have got the care that he received or built the relationships that we did had we went to any other hospital. I know in my heart that the nurses and doctors that cared for Jeremy truly cared for him.”
TriStar Skyline is proud to provide exceptional trauma and burn care helping patients like Crowe return to their lives and families after facing some of life’s most challenging moments. This story highlights not only the expertise of the team, but also the remarkable spirit of the patients.
