Expert Advice: Why You Want a Barn

There are two types of people in the world: those who have barns and those who want them.

The earliest barns in the United States were built in the 1600s and were engineered primarily for livestock stabling areas and hay storage. Everything about barns has changed dramatically over time, but they are still just as popular today as they were back then.

So if you don’t already own a barn, here’s a few reasons why you’ll want to:

They’re Custom

Our pole barns are completely customizable to whatever form, shape, or size you may need. We offer a variety of colors and materials for you to choose from. You can match it to existing buildings on the property or design something completely unique. The size can be as big or as small as you’d like, and there are many different features we can add to it based on what type of function you plan to use it for.

They’re Affordable

Building a barn is more cost effective than traditional construction because of the method of construction (see next paragraph), the materials used to build it, and the efficiency of the laborers constructing it. You also will likely increase your overall property value by adding a functional barn. If you’re wondering if you can afford a barn or if you have the space for one, please call us. We offer free, in-person consultations.

They’re Durable

Pole barns are built with a post-frame construction and are highly resistant to rot and termites because they use pressure treated wood. We use engineered truss systems to calculate appropriate weight loads for roofs, and they are storm resistant for our climate here in Middle Tennessee.

They’re Versatile

We’ve built barns for all sorts of functions: man caves, she sheds, storage buildings, in law suites and apartments, woodworking shops, additional garage space, indoor basketball courts, pool houses, wedding venues, business offices, houses, and more. The ideas are endless!

Still not convinced yet? Check out our website to see all the beautiful and functional barns we have built for your neighbors and friends. I guarantee you will be wanting one soon.
